2016 East Village Promenade: November 18

2016-east-village-holiday-promenade-nov-18Mark your calendars, and plan to join us Friday, November 18, 2016, 5 – 9 pm, for the fifteenth annual Historic East Village Promenade!

Always held the Friday before Thanksgiving, Promenade is our official kickoff of the festive season in the East Village neighborhood.  Start the holiday season in style, and get a head start on treat-making (and gift-giving!).

Enjoy caroling, ice skating, sparkling holiday lights, festive surprises and an open house at your favorite neighborhood boutiques all evening long.

Here’s some of what will be happening at Promenade:

  • Free horse-drawn trolley ride – gather outside of HoQ Restaurant on E 5th and Walnut from 5:30 – 8pm;
  • Carolers strolling and singing throughout the neighborhood;
  • Ice skating at Brenton Plaza, where there will be an ice sculpture carver, and they’ll light a great big Christmas tree.
  • PLUS Santa Claus will be at Brenton Skate Plaza from 5-6:30!

At 6:30, Santa hits the road (in a race car!) and zooms down to LifeServe Blood Center (right across the street from AllSpice), where he’ll be talking with Promenade visitors until 8pm.

What’ll be cookin’ at AllSpice? For Promenade, we’ll be celebrating, all evening long, in AllSpice style.

We’re unveiling some cool new merchandise and themed boxed sets that you’re going to want to see. Need some fresh gift ideas? We’ll have plenty of suggestions in store.

And of course, we’ll be sharing some of our favorite drinks and treats – a perfect opportunity to gather ideas for festive cooking and entertaining.

We’ll share more details in the days ahead about what we’ll be doing at the shop. To find out more about the night’s activities throughout all of the East Village, follow the Promenade event page on Facebook.
