Beware, oh take care:* the ‘Momster’ comes to AllSpice this Saturday

And now, for something completely different:

This weekend, we’re having a children’s book event! Author Laura Jensen-Kimball will be signing copies of her lighthearted “scary” book, Momster, here at AllSpice:

Momster_coverJensen-Kimball summarizes her book this way:

“MOMSTER is a hair-raising story about a boy who after ignoring his mother’s repeated requests, realizes what a grave mistake he has made.  Mom, who is loving and kind by nature, has had it.  Her frustration shows as she morphs from her peaceful self into a MOMSTER.  Understanding quite quickly that his actions were the cause of this terrifying transformation, he apologizes. The mother instantly forgives and alters back into her delightful self.  The young boy wants to warn anyone who will listen of the potential threat hiding in everyone’s mom.  MOMSTER will thrill and chill every child between the ages 4-10.”

Jensen-Kimball will be here at AllSpice signing books this Saturday, December 5, from 10 am – 5 pm. She’s offering a holiday special–through the month of December, every book purchased ($20) comes bundled with a free audio CD of the book (regularly $10).

Also, 10% of the proceeds from the Momster book sales at the store this weekend will be donated to the John Stoddard Cancer Center. It’s a great opportunity to pick up a unique gift for a little one on your giving list, at a great price, and some of the money you spend goes to help a good cause.

*(Not really. As long as you don’t ignore what she asks you to do, Mom won’t turn into the dreaded Momster.)
