Overall Best Snack Mix : departing from the traditional Chex-and-pretzels combo, this Chili Snack Mix uses pretzels, nuts, Goldfish crackers and Fritos as the backdrop for the sweet-spicy brown sugar-Chili flavor coating. The AllSpice staff call this one the “King of Snack Mixes.”
Sauerbraten: This rich, German roast beef dish was a special favorite of Alex, AllSpice’s founder. The award-winning Sauerbraten recipe relies on a homemade marinade that includes Red Wine Vinegar, Bay Leaf, Ginger and Cloves. The “gingersnap gravy” that accompanies the roast is out-of-this-world delicious.
Best-Dressed: This recipe for Momma’s Italian Dressing took first place for best vinaigrette at the State Fair. It’s hard to go wrong with spices, Olive Oil, and both Fig and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar.
Mustard: The number one pick among homemade mustard recipes was this Stout Ale Mustard, which features a good stout beer (like Guinness, yum) mixed with Curry Powder, black and white Mustard seeds, and a range of other sweet and tart ingredients.
