The World Food and Music Festival comes back next weekend. The three day event features a variety of live culinary demonstrations, cultural workshops and child-oriented “Adventure Tents” where kids can learn about foods from around the world. The festival also boasts music performances throughout the weekend, from dozens of bands performing on two stages.
The festival will be at the Gateway Park, on the western end of Downtown Des Moines, September 14 – 16. It’s free to attend, although you’ll want to bring money to snack on the food for sale from the over forty different food vendors on site.
The World Food and Music Festival goes from 11 am – 11 pm next Friday and Saturday (Sept 14-15), and on Sunday Sept 16, the festival goes from 11 am – 5 pm.
