Green Tea Cookies
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. fine sea salt
1/2 Cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp green tea powder (matcha)
1 Cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
STEPS
In medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients.
In a large bowl, beat butter until smooth. Mix in almond and vanilla extracts. Add dry ingredients until combined.
Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for at least ½ hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place unwrapped dough on a lightly floured work surface. Flour the top of the dough and roll out to about ¼ inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters or by hand into desired shape.
Place cookies about an inch apart on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake until golden on the edges, about 15-18 minutes.
Place on wire wrack to cool.
