Balsamic Jelly
INGREDIENTS
1 cup Balsamic Vinegar, such as Raspberry Balsamic, Fig Balsamic (truly, almost any of them would make a delicious jelly!)
3 tsp unflavored gelatin
6 Tbsp unflavored honey
STEPS
Serve with some crusty bread or toast and butter!
This easy, make-ahead, flavorful jelly is a wonderful addition to any cheese plate. Almost every flavored balsamic can be used – experiment and be creative! The fruit flavors pair wonderfully with toasted bread and goat or cream cheese.
Pour Balsamic into small saucepan; sprinkle gelatin over.
Let stand until gelatin softens, about 10 minutes, then stir over medium heat until gelatin dissolves and mixture is hot (do not bring to a simmer).
Remove from heat and stir in honey.
Divide mixture among small bowls or ramekins. Chill until gelatin sets, about 8 hours.
Recipe can be made up to 1 week ahead. Cover and keep chilled. Recipe is easily doubled.
