2 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Olive Oil (We love using the Garlic Olive Oil!)
1 bunch Basil Leaves (use a generous handful)
1 bunch Parsley (use 1/3 as much as the amount of basil you used)
2 cloves Garlic
1 whole Green Onion
2 pinches Salt to taste
1 pinch Pepper to taste
1 pinch Premium Paprika
1 loaf Ciabatta or French bread
1-1/2 Cups grated Parmesan cheese (up to 2 Cups)
Combine all the ingredients (except the bread and cheese, silly) in a food processor, and process until mixture is smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Slice the loaf of bread lengthwise and spread both halves with the basil butter. Put the halves back together and wrap in aluminum foil. Toast the seasoned bread in a 400ºF oven for about 10 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Separate the halves of the loaf and sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese. Keeping the halves of the loaf separated this time, return them to the baking sheet and toast them in the oven (very briefly!) at 500ºF or put them under the broiler for a similarly short amount of time. Be careful to not let the bread get too browned or burn!
Cook until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to get brown.
Remove baking sheet from oven. Transfer bread to a cutting/serving board and serve while still toasty and warm!
