This ice cream took First Place at our spiced ice cream competition at the Iowa State Fair this year!
1 Cup heavy cream
2 Cups half & half
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 Cup dark brown sugar
1/2 Cup sugar
1-1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
1-1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1-1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract, Tahitian
2 tsp lemon juice
pinch of salt
Combine all ingredients in a large a mixing bowl.
Pour ice cream batter into “can” or freezing cylinder of your ice cream freezer and process according to instructions.
When ice cream has finished processing (“soft serve” consistency), pack it into freezer-safe containers, and store in freezer to harden and for flavors to ripen.
