This recipe won third place in the Sweet & Salty Snack Mix Competition at the 2014 Iowa State Fair!
1-1/2 Cups Cheerios
2 Cups Corn Chex
2 Cups Rice Chex
2 Cups M&Ms (original)
1-1/2 Cup Club Crackers
1-1/2 Cups Petite Stick Pretzels
1/2 lb mixed nuts
1/2 Cup melted butter
1 tsp Worcestershire
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1/2 tsp Celery Salt
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Mix melted butter and seasonings.
Combine remaining ingredients (except the M&Ms) in a large bowl, toss to mix. Pour butter-spice mixture over the dry ingredient mix, tossing to coat.
Spread mixture in a single layer in a large rimmed baking sheet. Bake in oven 30 minutes at low temperature. Stir snack mix carefully with a wooden spoon after first 15 minutes of baking.
Remove spiced, toasted mixture from the oven and allow to cool. Add the M & M’s to the cooled snack mix. Serve immediately, or store in sealed container for up to one week.
