This is a favorite recipe created by AllSpice staffer Fran:
6 Cups water
2 Tbsp. Salt
2 Tbsp Traditional White Balsamic Vinegar
1 tsp. Pickling Spice
2 Bay Leaves
2 stalks celery
Bring water and all the ingredients except the shrimp to a boil.
Add 2 lbs. fresh or frozen shrimp in shells (or peeled and cleaned if you don’t want to fuss with them later – although the shells do add extra flavor!). Simmer till the shrimp turn pink, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Drain (clean now if you didn’t earlier).
Serve chilled with cocktail sauce!
*This is also a great recipe to use with pasta or steak, but you might want to omit the vinegar and pickling spice if you are using it with other seasoned components!
