Jamaican Jerkeee

This recipe, from customer James M., won third place in our 2019 Iowa State Fair Beef Jerky Contest!


4 lb Eye of Round beef steak

16 oz soy sauce
50 ml whiskey
1 Tbsp Allspice, Ground
8 oz liquid smoke
1 Tbsp Island Jerk Seasoning
4 oz steak seasoning (try a Chicago style or our Quebec Steak Seasoning)
2 Cups dark brown sugar



Cut steak into thin strips.

Mix the remaining ingredients together in a large bag or bowl. Add steak strips to the marinade, and allow to marinate in the refrigerator over night.

Place beef strips in a single layer on the trays of a dehydrator.

Cook for 12 hours at 135°F.
