Jodi’s sugar cookie icing dries hard and shiny. We think it’s the perfect icing for creating beautifully decorated cookies which can be stacked without making a mess of them.
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 T milk
- 4 tsp light corn syrup (for the shine)
- 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
- Combine powdered sugar and milk in a mixer until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until the icing is smooth and glossy. Add additional milk to get to desired consistency.
- Divide and color with food coloring if desired.
- Paint icing on cookies with a brush.
If you’re adding sanding sugar or other decoration, be sure to do so before the icing hardens so it sticks to the cookie.
