Roasted Nuts with Cherries and Chinese Five Spice


Cooking spray
3/4 lb assorted nuts
4 tsp sugar
2 tsp Chinese Five-Spice Powder
6 tsp tamari
1 Cup dried cherries

Preheat oven to 300° F. Lightly coat a baking sheet with a spritz of your favorite non-stick cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine the assorted nuts, sugar, Chinese five-spice powder, and tamari. Toss the nuts so that they are coated evenly with sugar/spice mixture.

Spread seasoned nuts in a single layer on the oiled baking sheet; bake 10–20 min. Remove baking sheet from oven; add dried cherries. Toss again to combine, and allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving dish and sharing.
