Spiced Pigs in a Blanket


1 package crescent rolls, or 1 batch of ready-to-roll-out pizza dough.
1-2 Tbsp Chile Oil (Try with Chipotle or Baklouti)
Smoked Bacon or Smoked Hickory Sea Salt
6 – 8 cooked hot dogs (or cocktail wieners)


If you are using crescent rolls, unroll as one big piece, and press together any gaps to form a single large sheet of dough. If you have pizza dough, roll it out as you normally would for pizza-making.

Use a sharp paring knife to cut the dough into 3″-wide strips that are the length of your hot dogs / cocktail wieners. Wrap a strip of dough around each hot dog, pinching the dough together on the bottom. Place, seam side down, on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Brush with a little chile oil and sprinkle with smoked salt.

Bake at 375°F for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let sit for 3 minutes and then cut into bite size pieces.

Serve with your favorite condiment (spicy brown mustard highly recommended!)
