Beth Seuferer of West Des Moines submitted this recipe for the Salty Snack Mix competition we sponsored at the 2013 Iowa State Fair. Beth won first place and took the overall snack mix prize as well!
1 Cup Corn Chex Cereal
1 Cup Rice Chex Cereal
1 Cup cheese crackers
1 Cup pretzel twists
1 Cup peanuts
2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
4 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp Thai Rub
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
Combine all dry ingredients in bowl.
Melt butter with spices in small saucepan.
Pour over cereal mixture and stir.
Bake on foil lined baking sheet pan at 250 degrees for 20 minutes.
Stir after 10 minutes. Let cool. Store in air tight container.
