Wasabi Butter


1/2 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon wasabi powder
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce


Compound butter [sometimes called herb butter] is butter that has a flavor, or additional ingredient(s) added to it.

Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl using a mixer or wooden spoon.
Cover and chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour [up to 24 hours] to allow flavors to blend.
Allow butter to come to room temperature before serving.
