With the holidays fast approaching, it’d be remiss of us to not take an opportunity to spotlight our Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend. Our signature blend is the perfect balance of warm and rich spiciness for your baked treats.
This baking spice blend brings together all the spices you’d expect – cloves, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice and adds an unexpected element – a pinch of white pepper. Why white pepper? White pepper helps to amplify the coziness and warmth of the blend without adding the sharp bite of black pepper.
We love to use this blend of spices in place of any cloves, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, or allspice our recipe requires. We recommend using two or three teaspoons of the blend for a 9-inch pumpkin pie. Our Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend is good for much more than pumpkin pie, too. Give it a try in sweet batter breads like zucchini and banana breads, in carrot and coffee cakes, and to add a bit of spicy goodness to your favorite muffins. It’s also a tasty option for seasoning roasted winter veggies like squash, turnips, parsnips and sweet potatoes or breakfast treats like waffles and pancakes.
