The buzz on Bee’s Wrap…

Yep, we’re talking about Bee’s Wrap (not bees rap, although the image of bees using their little legs to scratch a record does sound entertaining). Why? Because we’re constantly on the look out for ways to leave a smaller footprint on the planet, and Bee’s Wrap has quickly become one of our favorite products for reducing single-use plastic waste.

So, what is it? Bee’s Wrap food storage products start with organic cotton, which is then coated with beeswax (sustainably sourced, of course), organic jojoba oil, and tree resin. The result is a reusable, sealable food wrap which is perfect for wrapping up leftover cheese, veggies, fruit, baked goods, and more!

Using it is simple. Just crack open the package and use the warmth of your hands to cover a piece of food or to place over a dish. As the wrap cools, it’ll naturally create a seal to keep food fresh. When you’re done, just rinse it off with cool water and allow it to air dry before storing it in a clean, cool place for reuse. For stubborn food and crumbs, lightly scrub with your hand, using a small amount of mild dish soap if necessary. Don’t resort to hot water – it’ll ruin your wrap, and no one likes a ruined wrap.

Bee’s Wraps will last up to a year with proper care and regular use. You’ll know it’s toast when it’s started to wear thin and soft and has trouble sticking back onto itself. At that point you can cut it into strips and throw it into the compost bin or use it as a natural fire starter!

Prolong the life of your Bee’s Wrap by keeping it away from heat (including hot water!) and not using it with raw meat – it’s not recommended for that.

The AllSpice shelves are fully stocked with a variety of Bee’s Wrap sizes and patterns. We’re sure you’ll find a few perfect for you or for a sustainably-minded friend!
